La Puente Public Library got equipped with a professional presentation technology, a user-friendly control system, and a portable lectern. After ForTech Solutions has finished the project, it was time for the staff training before the library opens its doors to visitors. This was the 15th public library in the line, for which ForTech Solutions provided the system design and installation.
The project goal was to equip the 2 meeting rooms and the library hallway of the La Puente library with the latest available technology, giving a chance to library staff, visitors and guest speakers to organize effortless presentations, movie nights, lectures and a lot more.

“Having a separate AV room in the library was an expensive thing to have, so the challenge was to design a special lectern, which would be movable, would save a lot of space and be safe to use”,- says Hovsep Margaryan, the Paresident of ForTech Solutions.

The central and most important part of the system is the custom-made portable lectern, which contains all the equipment and the control system. It can be easily plugged in and out, moved and hidden behind the doors, saving a lot of space, when not used. This also makes sure, that the equipment can be kept safe and hidden out of reach, when it’s not used.
The system designer Joe Alabashyan is very proud with the work of his team. “The exciting part of the project was to design a new user-friendly interface for the complex control system, which now can be used even by non-technical visitors, with just one touch of a button”,- says Joe.

We are using a user friendly, easy to use interface for the touch control panel, which was specifically worked out for libraries. The old system, that was a collection of many manual wall dials and required a technical staff to operate, now has become a very easy-to-use, user-friendly system, even for a non-technical person.

Now making presentations with a professional equipment has become as easy as operating a smart phone or a tablet – you just have to tell the system what you would like to do, with one touch of a button.
